Bill’s chapter, “Legal Services Tailored to Unleash Your Business,” explains how business owners can count the costs of legal action and what it means for the health of their business.
“We all have business relationships, whether we own a business or not. Seldom do all of those relationships go smoothly all of the time. Conflicts or situations where we feel taken advantage of or wronged cannot always be avoided. But they can be either anticipated or dealt with efficiently. Not every conflict has to be fought, even if you are clearly the ‘injured party.’ Businesses must pick their battles very carefully. This requires objectivity. Even a seasoned attorney knows better than to trust his decisions without independent counsel when he finds himself personally involved in a dispute. Stop and think before you rush into a fight. Be clear about what you need and what it will take to obtain it.”
